Sberbank, Yandex, Gazprom Neft, the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Mail.ru Group and MTS are putting together a new alliance for artificial intelligence development; the federal Ministry for Economic Development will lead the effort.

According to Sberbank President German Gref, the project is being designed as a private-public partnership.

The Sberbank president pointed out that the new consortium is open for any other companies, big or small.
