Data Matrix to Create a National Biomedical Database

06 October 2021

Skolkovo resident Data Matrix, which specializes in processing and analyzing clinical data, will be the only company working on RWE research with Russian database, as part of the regulatory sandbox.

The data will have free access for Russian scientists and IT developers in medicine. Specialists of the National Medical Knowledge Base Association will also be involved in the creation of the database.

According to the Chief Product and Strategy Officer in Data Matrix Alexei Loleyt, the company will have the right to access anonymized data of medical records of any medical institution in Russia.

In March 2021, the Russian Government chose seven projects for regulatory sandbox, including research of routine clinical practice based on anonymized data from electronic medical records, with Data Matrix as the vendor.
