Robots come to Russian dairy farm to feed and milk cows

11 March 2021

Grand-NN, a group of Russian companies in the mid-Volga area, announced plans to invest $3m in a robotized dairy farm project.

It is expected that the investor may launch the new technology effort later this year already on the premises of Pushkinskoye, a cattle-breeding company in the District of Bolshoye Boldino some 200km south of Nizhny Novgorod.

Computer-run machines are expected to take control over most of feeding, milking and other operations at the new 620 cow head site. To support the robots, 30 new human jobs will also be created.
