02 March 2022

The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media has organized a unit that will monitor the state of Russian IT companies during the introduction of restrictive measures by foreign states and organizations.

It is assumed that the headquarters will identify negative factors affecting the development of IT companies in a timely manner. Its tasks will also include preparing proposals to the government to take measures to eliminate the identified risks or minimize their negative impact on the work of IT companies.

The Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev headed the headquarters. Other representatives of the department, industry organizations and IT companies, including VK Group, Yandex, Russoft, 1C and other companies will also become members of the new structure.

Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development proposed additional measures to support the IT industry to the government.
