The Government of Russia will consider including Baikal Electronics and MCST design centers, which are the developers of the Russian Baikal and Elbrus processors, into the list of strategic enterprises.

The measure will allow enterprises to transfer production to Chinese factories from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, where the production is currently impossible due to sanctions.

According to RBC, this is one of the proposals received from market participants during a strategic meeting. Later, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will launch several federal projects on the basis of the proposals.

The support program for strategic enterprises was resumed in early March. The new version of the program is also developed for companies that are subject to sanctions.
