27 January 2022

Sberbank intends to acquire 100% of the Russian unit of Stockmann. The parties plan to sign a binding agreement in the first half of 2022, which will require the approval of the parties and the approval of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service. The amount of the deal is not disclosed.

When the agreement is signed, SberMegaMarket and Stockmann marketplace will be integrated. Through the deal, Sberbank plans to strengthen its position in e-commerce and expand the fashion segment in the total turnover of the e-commerce services of the ecosystem.

Earlier Sberbank bought the Goods.ru marketplace (now SberMegaMarket) and intends to create “one of the key players in the e-commerce market” on its basis.
