India is committed to cooperation with Russia in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Debjit Chakraborty, director of the joint Russian-Indian integrator RISING, told Izvestia on April 29.
“India is actively exporting technology, and the volume of these supplies exceeds $200 billion. Until recently, we focused mainly on Western markets. However, our partnership with Russia has strengthened over the past two or three years,” Chakraborty said.
According to him, relations between India, Russia and the BRICS countries are an alliance made in heaven. Changes are coming to the global economy, especially in the technological sphere, and technology will become an integral part of trade.
“Today, the trade turnover between New Delhi and Moscow is already $60-70 billion. We aim to increase it to 1 thousand billion by 2030. Even if technologies do not play a decisive role, they will still have a significant impact on this process,” the director of the integrator added in an interview with Anton Zolotnitsky.
Earlier, on January 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Russia’s plans to increase cooperation with India in a congratulatory telegram on the occasion of Republic Day in India sent to President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Head of State pointed out that the mutually beneficial partnership between Moscow and New Delhi meets the fundamental interests of the peoples of the two countries and is developing within the framework of building a just multipolar world order.
