Wildberries to Test Drones for Delivery in Hard-to-Reach Regions

27 October 2021

Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, began testing unmanned drones for delivering small-sized cargo to hard-to-reach regions.

The tests used drones with a range of 300 km and a maximum payload of 200 kg. The tests started in the Moscow region, with plans to continue in Innopolis (Tatarstan).

As Wildberries clarified, this type of delivery will allow the company to reduce the volume of packaging, which in other cases is used when transporting goods over long distances.
