Russian Railways has launched a hotel and excursion booking service, the railway operator said on Saturday.

“We have launched the domestic service for hotel and excursion booking on the website for passengers,” Russian Railways said. “The service was created using domestic software; about 60,000 accommodation facilities are already connected to it. This list will be further complemented,” the railway operator said.

The client needs to go to travel.rzd.ru, select a suitable accommodation variant and make payment. Users can also make a reserve for excursions along with hotel booking, Russian Railways said.

Booking.com online booking service suspended operations in Russia earlier.
