Feeding and milking cows? Get robots to do the job

21 July 2021

Grand-NN, a group of Russian companies in the mid-Volga area, earlier this year announced plans to invest $3m in a robotized dairy farm project.

Pushkinskoye, a cattle-breeding company in the District of Bolshoye Boldino some 200km south of Nizhny Novgorod, has been chosen as the site to launch the new technology effort this year already.

Computer-run machines are expected to take control over most of feeding, milking and other operations at the new 620 cow head site. To support the robots, 30 new human jobs will also be created.
