Sensors for Solid Waste Control Installed on Trash Bins in Moscow

08 September 2021

Element Group and Russian Environmental Operator (REO) have launched a pilot project, which contains installing sensors controlling solid waste disposal on city trash bins.

Devices put on containers will measure the filling volume of the tanks as well as the frequency of their overturning. The received data will be transmitted for verification of mathematical calculations of the REO on the collection rate of containers for MSW.

Element Group was founded in 2019 as a joint venture of RTI Microelectronics (controlled by Sistema) and RosElectronics, that contributed to the JV controlling stakes in 20 enterprises operating in the area of development and production of microelectronic component base.
