Students from Russia have developed a program to improve the simulation of robot behavior

27 December 2022

A software package that will help in studying the behavior of a robotic system was developed by students of the Saratov State Technical University named after Gagarin. TASS writes about this, referring to the university’s message.

“Simulation modeling will allow describing the behavior of a real robotic system with high accuracy. Our team has developed software that can reduce costs when researching and developing new configurations of mobile robots using simulation modeling in the Unity game engine. From a practical point of view, it is a competitive application software package for simulating the operation of robotic mechatronic platforms,” Maxim Kuprin, the author of the project, a student of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Transport of the university, is quoted in the message.

Kuprin is one of the winners of the Student Startup competition of the Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere.

It is planned to launch the project in 2023. Customers can be large enterprises developing, for example, self-driving cars, or educational institutions, design bureaus, etc.
