Yandex and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) will create a software engineering faculty. The programs are designed to train backend, frontend, full stack developers and software architects.

Core disciplines include calculus, linear algebra, Java and C++ programming languages, discrete mathematics, and operating system architecture. The basic program also included lectures on startup management.

Educational projects and special courses will form the basis of the studies. In the future, a project center will be opened at the faculty, so that students will be able to work on cases from companies and engage in scientific work.
