A Russian edtech start-up called Tetrika raised $600,000 from an angel investor consortium, Vc.ru reported, citing Dmitry Voloshin, the project mentor.

Tetrika is developing an online service of the same name which brings together students and professional tutors. According to Mr. Voloshin, the online school currently has more than 1,200 students who receive in excess of 7,500 lessons based on Tetrika’s proprietary syllabus.

The syllabus automatically adapts to what the student already knows, and what the purpose of his training is. Parents receive analytical reports on their children’s results. Classes utilize a virtual “blackboard” on which formulas can be written, diagrams built, etc.
