Russian AgTech start-up helps domestic, American and Canadian farmers

Agro.Club, a Russian start-up that markets various solutions for agriculture, is developing a marketplace to facilitate users in the buying and selling of grains.

In another side of this business, Agro.Club provides assistance in deal-related paperwork and logistics. There are currently more than 17,000 farmers connected to the marketplace, the start-up said.

The young Russian company is present in international markets, too. In the U.S. and Canada, Agro.Club is offering vendors of seeds, plant protection products and fertilizers an array of proprietary IT solutions to help analyze and improve sales, including a range of product customization solutions.

This past summer Agro.Club raised $5m from international venture funds led by venture capitalists from the Netherlands and Greece.

Agro.Club was set up three years ago and was reported last year to have $40m in global proceeds.
