RUSSOFT opened a representative office in New Deli on 9th of June, 2019 in the Barmalt Complex that belongs to ‘i-cloud’ company, situated on Jharsa road, Sector 31/32, Gurgaon 122001, Haryana. The same block hosts Google, Microsoft and some other international companies’ offices. The whole block is supposed to become a large Technopark in future.
Both Russian and Indian side took part in the opening ceremony of RUSSOFT’s office. From Russian side there were the Government and Deputy Trade Commissioner with his team Mr. Pavel Komarov, Urij Lysenko, Second Secretary Russian Embassy in India, Ms. Elena Tishenko, department of Economic MGU, Mr. Valentin Makarov, president of RUSSOFT Association, Mr. Vadim Kokotkov, CEO of BEEPETRON and local RUSSOFT representative Anil Kejriwal, who owns ‘i-cloud’. Anil Kejriwal offered RUSSOFT part of his office space for free for a temporary stay and business meetings, for association members coming to India.
The Indian side was represented by Mr. Alok Kumar, Chairman of Akis Tech Group, RUSSOFT Indian partner on organizing the representative office, and CEO’s of the companies: TEXMAKO, Adventz, Logic Fruit Technologies, WTIcabs, Technocis Consequip, ILF, India Advisory, Active Services.
“Opening of the RUSSOFT representative office is an important step towards closer cooperation between RUSSOFT members and Indian partners. We will surely generate activities on the base of this representative office, creating awareness on the opportunities of cooperation with Russia in the ICT sector within the Indian IT community. At the same time, the office will serve as a meeting-point and comfortable ground for the marketing to RUSSOFT members who are willing to explore the Indian market”, – Valentin Makarov, President of RUSSOFT Association.
Vadim Kokotkov, CEO of BEEPETRON, also commented on the news: “Russian companies do need exporting their products and services. India is a wide market, which is the most tolerant of our technologies among other markets. And providing our presence in India with this office we are able to suppress cultural and psychological difficulties.
The opening ceremony was held as a part of the second Russia-India Strategic Economic Dialogue (RISED) was held in New-Delhi on July 9-10, 2019. The Russian side was led by Timur Maksimov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The Indian side was led by Anna Ray, Vice-Chairman, NITI Aayog.
The two sides emphasized the need to consolidate G2G and B2G collaborations in building Eurasian protected ICT-environment (Eurasian Quantum Way) for securing critical infrastructure and for guaranteeing digital transactions of cyber-physical systems (FinTech, unmanned transportation, Smart Energy, Digital manufacturing, Telemedicine, etc.)
The sides agreed to make joint explorations and a feasibility study on creating the base of the protected infrastructure mentioned above – an alternative trans-border payment system for cheaper, quicker and sanctions’ independent international financial transactions.
Both sides stressed on the need of harnessing synergies across frontier technologies for advanced manufacturing and leveraging innovation, incubation and regional collaboration including but not limited to smart cities.
