Technology plays a crucial role in today’s multipolar world. Technologies are needed to achieve Economic Sovereignty and National growth. At the same time, without cooperation between countries such success is hard to accomplish, therefore RUSSOFT stands for development of international cooperation in the IT-sphere.

Cooperation between RUSSOFT Association, the Chamber of Indo-Russian Technological Cooperation and the Association for the Export of Technological Sovereignty (AETS),  who had created the Russia-India Special Interest Group (RISING), stands as a good example of establishing fruitful interaction between two countries.

On August 18th in Kolkata, India, took place the “8th Edition of The TechMeet & Technology Excellence Awards 2023”.

The TechMeet was organized by The Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) which is one of the country’s oldest apex chamber strengthening the Indian ecosystem that has been a part of the economic history of India for more than a century.

RUSSOFT was invited by the Russian Consulate in Kolkata to take part in the event and was represented there by the RISING.

Debjit Chakraborty from RISING had spoken in the Plenary Session. His speech was dedicated to the following topic: “New Age Technologies. Impacting Future of Business”. In his speech he stressed on the new technology areas where Russia has a leadership positions. He was speaking also on the way the two countries are trying to collaborate and to jointly bringing these technologies to India.

RUSSOFT and RISING have great experience of cooperation. In March, 2023 together with AETS  they had signed a Memorandum of Understanding, aimed at developing bilateral ties between India and Russia in different field such as of information technologies, development and production of IT solutions, employment expansion and human capital growth in IT areas. And from that moment on, RISING and Debjit Chakraborty personally represents interests of RUSSOFT and its members in India.

Cooperation between Russian and Indian IT-industries at the moment is in the center of attention for RUSSOFT and for our partner organizations. Thus, on September 6th RUSSOFT, RISING and the Russian non-profit Community of Digital Managers “Etern-IT-y”  will hold an international online event “Russia and India. Let’s discuss actual trends in IT and Digitalization“ as part of the business program of the RUSSOFT 2023 IT- Forum. More information and registration is available by the link.
