(English) This year a bunch of Russian companies joined together under the name ‘Russian Technologies’ took its place in the Westgate area of the show on an equal footing with worldwide giants of the electronics industry.
This year the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas has proved the status of the world’s most crowdy and overwhelming technology conference. With 4K companies exhibiting at various venues, CES 2017 had more than 184K attendees and definitely, these numbers have been passed over at CES 2018. The most popular trends here, which tend to become primer and define the direction of technology development for the rest of the year, are as follows — Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Unmanned Vehicles, Smart Cities and BioTech.

Exhibiting at the show for the first time ever, Russian Pavilion clearly had a big success. Featuring exhibitors of 7 bright companies, the collective stand with ‘Made in Russia’ on the top has attracted the unexpected number of attendees including both prospective partners and excited investors.
Sponsored by the ‘Russian Export Center’ which is a government institution intended to support export, the collective Russian Technologies platform was also backed up by RUSSOFT, the widest association of software developers from Russia. As the profile industry support, RUSSOFT has run the business program for the exponents during the event to encourage companies and enhance the effectiveness of their participation at CES 2018. Arrangements offered by RUSSOFT included B2B meetings, media interviews, marketing seminars with participation of US industry professionals and the official visit to the stand of Alexander Stadnik, the Trade Representative of Russian Federation in the USA.
‘Traditionally, Russian hi-tech developers have been focused on the US market only. But due to certain geopolitical risks the annual amount of sales has here has not been growing in the last 3 years’, says Valentin Makarov, president of Russoft Association. ‘That’s why it is so important to grow back and to boost the former market potential. We’re excited to see the such a high demand and to meet people who’re ready to make business with us.’
During the show, the Market Music Player presented their unprecedented AI product that analyzes customers in the store in real time and provides accurate audio and video background maintaining brand identity and customer loyalty; the company met its potential partners in French ‘Sonar’ and Mexican ‘Ultramexica’.
Vist Robotics showed their Intelligent Mine project, which is literally the first technology for unmanned open-pit mining, that increases both safety and productivity and allows to work in the most severe climatic conditions. They have discussed the possibilities of delivering the self-driving trucks with FZI’s top R&D officials.
SKYF developers showed that they’re familiar with the rough weather too: their heavy-duty drone covers multiple tasks – from cargo logistics and crop dusting to fire extinguishing. With the carrying capacity up to 250 kg, its flight range is up to 350 km — which makes this thing exceptional.
NASA expressed its interest in Asonika, whose software was created to save the hardware: based on CALS (Continuous Acquisition and Lifecycle Support) technology, it helps in designing and testing the thermal and mechanical stability and reliability of radio-electronics devices.
Texel demonstrated the breakthrough in accuracy that no other company has been able to achieve using 3D sensors available today: superior quality of digitalization, automatic data processing and generation of 3D models in real time. During the show, Texel held a meeting with L’Oréal where they discussed the project of facial scanning for makeup matching project.
And the headliner of the exposition was Neurochat: A unique technology that allows people with disabilities to communicate with each other, with relatives, medical staff and with the whole world. Neurochat is a headset with the special user interface. It registers the patient’s neurophysiological parameters and transforms patient’s mental effort into specific commands for the computer keyboard or other actuating devices. It was fantastic! Neurochat has found both partners and rivals at CES: Korean Ybrain showed a similar product and companies dug each other technologies with excitement.
