Ministry of Digital Development has launched an experiment to grant the right to use software products owned by the Russian Federation under an open license. It will be conducted from May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2024.

As part of the experiment, specialists intend to create a national repository where the source codes of the software and additional data used in the process of creation, modification and storage by individuals and legal entities will be published and stored without restrictions. The Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosreestr, and the Russian Information Technology Development Fund will take part in the experiment.
